.ely with other communities across the Elysium ecosystem and beyond.
Through partner programmes, projects can reward NFT holders, recognise active community members and introduce their users to Elysium Names.
1. What are partner programmes?
Partner programmes are configurable eligibility campaigns that allow approved partners to define who can access specific registration benefits. Depending on the programme, eligibility can be determined through:- NFT ownership.
- Snapshot-based wallet eligibility.
- DeFi activity verified by a partner.
- Other supported wallet-based eligibility lists.
2. NFT-holder eligibility
Elysium Names supports live NFT-holder verification. This allows a partner to offer registration benefits to wallets holding a supported NFT collection. Eligibility is checked against the configured partner token contract using its onchain ownership information. For example, an NFT project can create a programme that gives qualifying holders a discount when registering a.ely name.
The protocol supports up to 50 partner-token configurations.
Eligibility depends on the wallet satisfying the configured holding requirements when the relevant check is performed.
3. Snapshot and Merkle-based eligibility
Partners can also create programmes using a predefined list of eligible wallets. This is useful when eligibility is based on a snapshot taken at a particular time rather than current NFT ownership. The system uses a Merkle-based verification mechanism. A partner supplies an eligibility list, from which a Merkle root is generated. The root is stored onchain, while the full list and supporting information can be provided through the programme’s configured reference. When a user attempts to claim a benefit, they submit a Merkle proof demonstrating that their wallet is included in the approved eligibility list. The protocol verifies the proof against the stored root. How it works
- Prepare the eligibility list: The partner identifies the wallets that qualify for the programme.
- Generate the Merkle root: The approved list is used to generate a cryptographic root.
- Create the programme: The programme is configured with its eligibility root and relevant campaign parameters.
- Verify eligibility: A participating wallet submits the required proof.
- Apply the benefit: If verification succeeds, the wallet can access the configured registration benefit, subject to the programme rules.
4. DeFi activity eligibility
Elysium Names also supports partner programmes for recognising DeFi activity. This allows projects such as decentralised exchanges and other DeFi applications to reward users based on qualifying activity. For example, a partner may want to offer a registration discount to wallets that have completed a specified amount of trading activity. In this model, the partner verifies the relevant activity and supplies the resulting eligible wallet list for the programme. The Elysium Names contracts enforce the submitted eligibility rules, but they do not independently calculate historical trading volume across external DeFi platforms. This distinction allows partners to use their own activity data while Elysium Names provides the registration and eligibility infrastructure.5. Programme configuration
Partner programmes can be configured with parameters that determine how eligibility and benefits work. Depending on the programme type, these can include:- Manager: The wallet authorised to manage the programme.
- Discount: The registration discount offered to eligible participants.
- Programme period: The campaign’s applicable time window.
- Claim cap: The maximum number of permitted claims.
- Minimum name length: The minimum permitted length for names registered through the programme.
- Snapshot reference: Information identifying the eligibility snapshot.
- List URI: A reference to the supporting eligibility list.
6. How partners can use the system
The eligibility infrastructure supports several ecosystem use cases. NFT communities NFT projects can reward qualifying holders with discounted or exclusive.ely registrations.
DeFi applications
DEXs and other DeFi projects can recognise active users and provide registration benefits based on verified activity.
Ecosystem campaigns
Projects can run registration campaigns for their communities, using predefined eligibility lists and campaign limits.
Exclusive community benefits
Partners can provide eligible users with access to special registration opportunities or free name claims where the programme supports them.
Cross-project collaborations
Projects can use .ely registration benefits as part of broader ecosystem campaigns, community incentives and partnership initiatives.
7. Benefits to ecosystem partners
Partner programmes give external projects a way to connect their communities with Elysium Names. They can:- Reward existing NFT holders and active users.
- Introduce their communities to the Elysium ecosystem.
- Offer registration incentives without independently building a naming system.
- Run controlled campaigns with defined eligibility and claim limits.
- Create additional utility for their communities through
.elyidentities.
8. Important programme rules
- Eligibility depends on the programme’s configured verification method.
- NFT-holder programmes use live onchain ownership checks.
- Snapshot programmes use Merkle-based wallet verification.
- The wallet claiming a snapshot benefit must match the wallet in the eligibility proof.
- Duplicate claims are restricted.
- A programme’s eligibility root is locked once the programme begins.
- DeFi activity is verified by the partner, not independently calculated by the Elysium Names contracts.
- Discounts and claim benefits are subject to the individual programme’s configuration.
9. Frequently asked questions
Can an NFT project offer discounts to its holders? Yes. Supported partner-token configurations allow NFT projects to offer registration benefits to qualifying holders. Do partners need to submit a list of eligible wallets? It depends on the programme. Live NFT-holder programmes verify ownership onchain, while snapshot-based programmes use an approved wallet list and Merkle proofs. Can a partner reward users based on trading volume? Yes. A partner can verify qualifying DeFi activity and supply an eligible wallet list for a programme. Does Elysium Names independently verify historical trading volume? No. The partner verifies the activity and supplies the eligible wallet list. The protocol handles the configured eligibility and registration benefits. Can the same wallet claim a programme benefit more than once? Programmes include duplicate-claim protection. The applicable claim limits are determined by the programme configuration. Can programme eligibility be changed after a campaign begins? The eligibility root is locked once the programme begins, preventing the approved snapshot list from being replaced during the campaign.Related documentation
